ABOUT: Yellow Gentian was used in the middle ages as an antidote for certain poisons and in the treatment of Gout and Rheumatism, In the wild Yellow Gentian grows in the Alps Yellow Gentian is thought to have Antibacterial and Anti-Inflammatory properties. Said to stimulate the Appetite, promote secretion of Salivary, Gastric, Liver, pancreatic and Intestinal Juices, it accelerates emptying of the Stomach and alleviates Indigestion, Bloating and Flatulence. In its original state Yellow Gentian is a very bitter tasting herb. For centuries it has been used to stimulate the Gall Bladder and Pancreas, as well as the Stomach, improving Digestive and Liver function.
